Romanticize Motherhood (Spring Edition)🌷

Flowers for you💐

Spring is the season of fresh starts. And honestly, I may be a bit biased because spring is my absolute favorite season. Longer days, softer mornings, and a slightly better chance of drinking a hot coffee before it turns cold. What’s there to complain about? (Other than the seasonal allergies. 🌿)

And while we could make a long list of Pinterest-perfect ways to embrace the season, that’s not what we’re doing here. Because romanticizing motherhood shouldn’t feel like another to-do list (we damn well know we have enough of those). It’s about finding small ways to enjoy the moment. Without the pressure of making it aesthetic.

Here are simple ways to soak in spring, for yourself and with your little one(s).

🌀 Busy mom life? I get it. Listen to the newsletter here.

Because you deserve this time.

🌞 Step outside first thing in the morning.

Even if it’s just for a few deep breaths on the porch, starting your day with fresh air hits different. Bonus points if coffee is involved (this should keep it warm).

🌿 Buy yourself fresh flowers.

Trader Joe’s, the grocery store, picked from the backyard — it doesn’t matter. You deserve them.

📖 Make everyday moments feel a little extra.

Read outside, sip tea in the afternoon, or put on that calming playlist while folding laundry. It’s not about adding more to your day. It’s about enjoying what’s already there.

🛁 Take a spring everything shower.

Swap out your body wash for a fresh seasonal scent, throw some eucalyptus in the steam, exfoliate—make it a full experience.

☀️ Go for a solo walk.

No stroller, no distractions — just you, fresh air, and a little space to hear yourself think.

🌸 Switch up your perfume (or lotion).

Something light and floral to instantly feel like that mom. My absolute favorite lotion for spring and summer gives that perfect lightweight scent.

🍓 Eat something fresh & seasonal.

Strawberries, fresh veggies, plucked herbs. Nourish your body and soul with something that tastes like spring.

🎨 Start a tiny creative habit.

Try abstract painting, take a daily photo, or press flowers in a book. Small, easy, and just for you.

For You & Your Little One(s): Simple Joys Together

🐞 Go on a 'signs of spring' scavenger hunt.

Point out new flowers, buzzing bees, tiny buds on trees. Slows down their steps and your mind, too.

☁️ Lay on a blanket and watch the clouds.

No rush, no structure — just pointing out silly shapes together. (There’s no right or wrong answer.) Bonus: a cute picnic blanket brings it to the next level.

🌷 Pick wildflowers (or plant some!).

Even if they’re just dandelions, it still feels magical to a little one.

🍋 Make homemade lemonade.

Let them squeeze the lemons, taste-test, pour it in your favorite pitcher, and maybe spill a little. It’s okay to embrace the mess.

🌈 Paint outside.

A watercolor set, some paper, and fresh air. Plus, easy clean-up. Big win.

🚲 Take a slow, meandering walk.

No destination, no rush — just moving and noticing the world together.

📚 Read a spring-themed book outside.

Something light, something simple, with the sun on your skin. (Grumpy Monkey, A Little Book About Spring, Playing Through the Seasons, Construction Site — Take your pick!)

🦋 Blow bubbles or chase butterflies.

Just because it feels like childhood. (It may heal something in you too.)

You don’t have to overhaul your routine to romanticize motherhood. You simply have to notice the good that’s already there.

Tell me, what’s your go-to way to slow down and enjoy the season? Hit reply — I’d love to hear your thoughts. 🤎
